Dejagah to decide on Iran offer in near future
German-Iranian forward Ashkan Dejagah said on Wednesday he will soon decide whether to accept an invitation to play for Iran's national team.
"I am thinking about it and will make a decision in the foreseeable future," said the VfL Wolfsburg player Dejagah, DPA reported.
Iran coach Afshin Qotbi has reportedly invited Dejagah to the national team which prepares itself for the 2011 Asian Cup. He said he would travel to Wolfsburg to talk to the player.
Dejagah, 24, won the 2009 under-21 European championship with the German team. But the Tehran-born player is eligible for Iran's national team as he has not played in the Germany senior team.
