Iran to build dairy factory in Zimbabwe

The Iranian Cooperatives Minister stated that upon Zimbabwe's request the Islamic Republic will aid that country in constructing a tractor plant and dairy factory.

IRNA reported that in a meeting between Mohammad Abbasi and Zimbabwean foreign minister the Iranian official said: "Agreements made in the two countries 6th joint committee and Zimbabwe's call for the import of oil, building a joint tractor factory, import of chemical fertilizer and construction of a hospital and a dairy factory are in hand."

He emphasized on expanding relations and strengthening friendship between the two countries and said, "Fortunately the situation in this country (Zimbabwe) has improved, both politically and economically, and the countries capabilities and potentials show an increasing growth trend."

Zimbabwean Foreign Minister Simbarashe Mumbengegwi noted that his country has an advanced agricultural industry and is an exporter of agricultural products.

He added, "His government is interested in developing relations with Iran, especially economic ties."
