A senior Iranian lawmaker Kazem Jalali says Tehran should issue a final warning to Pakistan so that Islamabad would destroy all terrorist training bases inside its soil, Press TV reported.
Pakistan should destroy all terrorist training centers on its soil, "otherwise Iran has the right to defend its citizens through making the atmosphere unsecure for terrorists," spokesman for the Parliament's (Majlis) National Security and Foreign Policy Commission said on Sunday.
On December 15, a terrorist attack took place at the Imam Hussein mosque in Chabahar in Sistan-Baluchestan Province where people were commemorating the martyrdom of the third Shia Imam, Imam Hussein (PBUH).
At least 37 mourners were killed and more than 90 others including women and children were injured.
Iran says the perpetrators behind the Chabahar terrorist attack were trained and equipped by foreign elements beyond the country's eastern borders in Pakistan.
"The government and Majlis should dedicate enough budgets for providing security in the country's eastern borders," Fars News Agency quoted the Iranian lawmaker as saying.
"These terrorist attacks show that the enemies of the establishment [of the Islamic Republic] have targeted the whole Iranian nation," Jalali said, referring to the martyrdom of both Sunni and Shia people in the Chabahar attack.
The terrorist group Jundallah has claimed responsibility for the attack.
The Pakistan-based group has carried out numerous bombings, assassination attempts, and terrorist attacks in Iran.
Its leader Abdolmalek Rigi was arrested by Iranian intelligence forces in February 2010 and executed in June for 79 counts of crimes, including armed robbery, bombing operations and armed attacks on police and civilians.
"The connection between terrorist cells with the Zionist Regime [of Israel] has been ascertained,"Jalali said, adding that Rigi had confirmed this before in his confessions.
Jalali explained that Israel's intelligence service, Mossad, plans to use every capacity to create insecurity with the help of the US and the UK. "[They] have used all counter-revolutionary and opposition groups and made contact with them."
Rigi had stated in his confessions that he had dealings with the US government and was promised unlimited funds and resources for "waging an insurgency" in Iran.
Iran's security forces have made several arrests related to the terrorist attacks, and investigations still continue.
