Campaign against narcotics distributors to continue - IRI interior minister

IRI interior minister said here Monday evening in past five years government has spent $700mn in campaign against narcotic drugs distribution in northeast and southwest borders, which is 17 fold compared to budgets allocated by former governments. 
  
Mostafa Mohammad-Najjar spoke about the serious will of the Anti-Narcotic Drugs Trafficking Headquarters for defeating the producers and distributors of the traditional and industrial narcotic drugs, adding, 'We are quite serious in this respect serious in this campaign and would not compromise the slightest bit.'

According to the IRNA correspondent in Rasht, the interior minister who was speaking with the press on the sidelines of the Gilan Province Anti Narcotic Drugs Headquarters extraordinary session also briefed the reporters on the latest decisions adopted at that session.

He said, 'We commissioned the top provincial officials to fight against the narcotic drugs traffickers comprehensively and to deal with the criminals in the field decisively.'

Najjar reiterated, 'The enemies are after corrupting our youth in a bid to inflict losses against the Islamic system, which is why we have devised a comprehensive plan aimed at confrontation, prevention, and remedy of this social vice.'
