Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi attributed expanding ties with Islamic and neighboring countries as the priority of foreign policy in the new Iranian year (which started on March 21), Mehr News Agency reported.
Salehi said the changes ongoing in the region were unexpected for all. "We need reviewing the foreign policy in line with Iran's national interests and goals."
He urged to design new foreign policy to expand ties with Europe Union, Islamic and neighboring countries.
Salehi remarked huge challenges on the way, noting Iran's aspiration to pass them by right and proper planning of foreign policy.
