Germany-Iran trade grows 9%

The value of trade between Tehran and Berlin has increased from around 4.3 billion euro in 2009 to nearly 4.7 billion euro in 2010, showing some 9 percent rise year on year.

Germany 's exports to Iran amounted to 3.8 billion euro in 2010, up from about 3.8 billion euro in 2009. Germany imported some 916 million euro worth of goods from Iran last year, showing 376 million euro increase compared to the year before.

Totally, trade between Iran and Germany increased 396 million euro in 2010 in comparison with 2009, the Islamic Republic of Iran News Network reported.

Growth of two countries' trade shows that German companies resisted against U.S. and Israel pressures.

With regard to their long relations with Iran, German firms are not inclined to lose Iranian market.
