Several Iranian high-ranking officials were arrested on suspicion of spying.

According to Fars news agency reported from an anonymous source, there are government officials among those who have been arrested in Iran on suspicion of spying for the US, .

Reportedly arrested the director of a department of the Ministry.

As reported by Fars, these people received a visa for Europe and the USA, joined the U.S. spy network in exchange for a condition of residence abroad.

According to Fars news agency, several directors of state-owned companies, were part of a spy network too.

Details of the names of those arrested and positions they held are not reported

The Iranian Intelligence Ministry has identified and dismantled a spy network affiliated to the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

The ministry said in a statement on Saturday that Iran dismantled the sophisticated network and arrested 30 people suspected of spying for the United States.

The statement said that the Islamic Republic also identified 42 CIA operatives in connection with the network.

According to the statement, the network was set up by a considerable number of outstanding CIA operatives in several countries of the world.
