Iranian and Russian presidents discuss expanion of mutual ties
The Iranian and Russian presidents here on Wednesday discussed the most important regional and global issues as well as ways of promoting mutual relations and cooperation, IRNA reported.
Meeting on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev highlighted importance and role of Iran and Russia in global and regional developments, underscoring the need for promotion of mutual cooperation at different international and regional levels.
"Russia wants expansion of its ties with Iran in different economic, political and cultural domains," added Medvedev.
The two presidents said the two countries should put on agenda ways of expanding mutual, regional and international relations and follow up the issue seriously.
