Iran President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Tuesday underlined strengthening and consolidating of ties between Iran and Comoros, IRNA reported.
According to the report of Iranian Presidential Office website, Ahmadinejad, who is in New York to attend the 66th meeting of the UN General Assembly, in a meeting with Comoros President Ikililou Dhoinine called relations between the two countries brotherly and consolidated and added that there was no obstacle in the way of developing and promoting relations.
Dhoinine referring to Iran's high position in international and regional developments said that Comoros attaches especial importance for expanding bilateral ties with Iran.
He also called for strengthening cooperation and relations in the fields of education, energy, agriculture and transportation.
