Iran has seized more than 377 tons of drugs during the first nine months of the year (Iran's solar year ends in March), a nine percent increase from the same period last year, Fars news agency reported.
The biggest share of the drugs discovered by the government was opium (287 tons), following by marijuana (50 tons), morphine (4 tons) and crystal methamphetamines (3 tons).
The Iranian government's efforts to find and destroy underground crystal methamphetamine labs led to the discovery of 780 kilograms of the drug.
