Iranian Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najjar said that European Union sanctions have no effect on Iran but will make economic situation in European countries worse.
On the sidelines of meeting with Head of Russia Federal Drug Control Service Victor Ivanov on Tuesday, Najjar told reporters, 'We do not think that EU sanctions are important because we have been facing with such sanctions in the past 30 years.'
He added that imposed sanctions have given opportunities to Iran to achieve new technologies.
The minister continued that Iran does not feel any pressure on itself by EU imposed sanctions, but the decision will make economic situation in the European countries and the whole world worse.
He went on to say that sanctions will increase oil price in the world market and this will increase production expenses for goods in the European countries.
The Interior minister arrived in Moscow on Sunday and met with Russian senior officials in fields of security, fight against drug trafficking and natural disasters.
