Three new power plants will add 1780 megawatts per day to Iran's electricity production capacity, Mehr news agency reports.
The three newest power plants are in the Iranian cities of Isfahan, Shiraz and Kermanshah and are reckoned to be fully operational by late March.
Projections show that Iranian's daily electricity use will pass 44,000 megawatts by this summer. This has sped up plans to build new plants and put completed ones online.
Work is also underway to synchronise and launch electricity plants in Iran's Zanjan, Abadan, Fars and Gilan provinces in addition to others.
