Azerbaijan, Baku, April 11 / Trend S.Isayev, T. Jafarov/
The Iranian parliament (Majlis) will impeach Cooperatives, Labor, and Social Welfare Abdolreza Sheikholeslami this Sunday, First Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Iran Mohammad-Reza Bahonar said, Fars reported.
Bahonar noted that over 20 parliamentaries signed an impeachment document, which was later approved.
He also said that parliamentaries want former Tehran Prosecutor General Saeed Mortazavi to resign, however, the government protects Mortazavi.
A parliamentary report issued on January 10, 2010 blamed Mortazavi for sending 147 inmates, charged with involvement in the political unrest that occurred after the Iranian presidential election of June 2009, to the substandard Kahrizak detention center on July 9, 2009.
