IAEA Director General, Yukiya Amano, will arrive in Iran tonight for a one-day stay to negotiate with Iranian officials, Fars News Agency quoted Iran's ambassador to the IAEA, Ali Asghar Soltanieh as saying.
Amano is scheduled to hold talks with Soltanieh and Iran's chief nuclear negotiator, Saeed Jalili.
IAEA chief inspector, Hermann Nackaerts, and Assistant Director General for Policy and IAEA Chef de Cabinet, Rafael Grossi, will accompany Amano.
Amano's visit comes ahead of a crunch meeting in Baghdad on May 23 between Tehran and a group of world powers to discuss concerns over Iran's suspected nuclear weapons drive.
Last week, Iran and IAEA held two-round talks in Vienna.
