Contracts to develop Iran's joint oil and gas fields will be finalized in the near future as part of a policy to begin work on the fields this year.

The Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC) has prepared for the fields' development, Shana news agency reports.

The IOOC's focus will be on boosting production and to that end the company will hire 400 additional personnel, said Managing Director Mahmoud Zirakchianzadeh.

This year (Iran's solar year began on March 20) the IOOC will add 4 percent to its production and is administering $25 billion in projects.
