What Saudi Arabia did to Iranian nationals is inhumane, executing our nationals, Iranian Foreign Ministry's Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said in Tehran at a weekly press conference, PRESS TV reported live.
Mehmanprast noted that Saudi Arabia must be held responsible for what happened to Iranian nationals in that country.
"Saudi Arabia must follow the demands we have on this issue," Mehmanparast said. "We are making necessary arrangements for Iranian delegation to be sent there, to investigate all the details".
Iranian ministry's spokesman underscored that no answer yet was received from the Saudi Arabia regarding the visit of Iran's delegation.
Last month, Saudi Arabia has changed the death sentences for six Iranian nationals to 15 years in prison. The Iranians held in Saudi Arabia's prison were detained on the charges for drug trafficking.
In June 2012 Mehr News agency quoted Hossein Amir-Abdollahian that 18 Iranian nationals were executed in Saudi Arabia within several weeks.
Speaking about the Iranian nationals detained in Kenya, Mehmanparast said Iran's embassy is working to get the detainees' identities.
Kenyan police said they arrested one of the Iranians last Wednesday and the other on Thursday to interrogate them on alleged involvement in terrorism activities.
A few days ago Mehmanparast said the recent media hype about the arrests of two Iranian nationals in Kenya is aimed at harming good relations between the two countries.
The Wall Street Journal reported that the two captured Iranians are believed to be members of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps Quds Force, an elite and secretive unit that acts against foreign interests.
Kenyan security forces arrested the Iranians on June 19 but the case came to broader light this week. Officials said after the arrest, security forces were then led to 33 pounds of RDX, a powerful explosive that could have been used against multiple targets or concentrated in one large bomb.
If used together, the explosives could have leveled a medium-size hotel, the Wall Street Journal reported.
