According to the official statistics, Iran's annual software exports are valued at $100 million, while the head of the union of Iranian Software Exporters believes the figure is some $300 million.
The Mehr News Agency quoted Mohammad-Reza Talaii, the head of the union of Iranian software exporters, as saying that some companies do not announce the value of their exports. So, the software export value is estimated at around $300 million.
Official data say that the value of software exports were $69million and $75 million in the past two years.
Talaii forecasted the figure would reach $150 million in the current calendar year, which ends on March 20, 2013.
