Transactions at Iran's over the counter market (OTC) reached over $9 million (USD) today as nine million securities changed hands.
The Kharazmi Investment Company had the most transactions with more than 1.3 million shares traded at 1,654 rials a share, the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reports. On the other hand, the Marjankar Company had the fewest transactions with 800 shares traded and a five per cent price hike for its final price of 6,871 rials a share.
Iran's official exchange rate is 12,260 rials to the dollar.
In the new financial instruments market the most shares sold were for Ejare Saman with 18,300 shares, followed by Mosharekat Naranjestan with 16,170 shares.
