In the Iranian province of East Azerbaijan announced a two-day mourning for the victims of the earthquake that struck on Saturday. This is stated in a joint statement, made by provincial governor Ahmad Alirza Beygi and a representative of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Ayatollah Mohsun Mushtehid Shebihseri, FNA reported.

In the Iranian province of East Azerbaijan announced a two-day mourning for the victims of the earthquake that struck on Saturday. This is stated in a joint statement, made by provincial governor Ahmad Alirza Beygi and a representative of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Ayatollah Mohsun Mushtehid Shebihseri, ISNA reported.

In a statement, they expressed their condolences to the bereaved families and announced Monday and Tuesday (August 13 and 14) days of mourning in the province of East Azerbaijan.

Head of the province Department of Emergency Khalil Saei said that information about 300 deaths is informal. "According to official figures the death toll is 250 people," - he said.
