Iran has denied licencing to an upcoming tactical shooter video game "ArmA III", according to Khabar Online website.

ARMA 3 (stylized as ArmA III) is an open world tactical shooter video game developed by Bohemia Interactive and expected to be released in the first quarter of 2013.

The game's storyline takes place in the mid-2030s, during Operation Magnitude, a military operation launched by NATO forces, who are fighting in Europe against "Eastern armies" led by a resurgent Iran.

Iran's national foundation of computer games jointly with the IRGC have agreed to ban the imports of the game into the country, based on the fact that Iranian forces are wrongly portrayed in the game, namely as enemies to NATO.

The National Foundation of Computer Games also issued a statement, according to which relevant institutions and organizations should not allow the game to be distributed without permission, according to Khabar Online.
