Enhanced Iran-Turkey ties serve regional stability - spokesman

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said that enhanced Iran-Turkey ties will serve regional stability, IRNA reported.

He made the remarks in a meeting with the head of Turkish Premier Office's Press and Information Bureau, Murat Kara Kaya.

Mehmanparast, who doubles as the head of the ministry's Public Diplomacy and Media Center, added that given the current sensitive situation, media play a crucial role.

Describing Iran and Turkey as the two strong countries, Mehmanparast added that bolstering bilateral relations will help boost regional stability.

He said that illuminating public opinion of the two nations will be effective to upgrade Tehran-Ankara ties. Not to mention that, the two countries' officials will also play a crucial role in this respect.

Mehmanparast is on visit to Ankara at the invitation of Turkish foreign minister.
