President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, in a meeting with visiting Syrian Prime Minister Wael Nader al-Halki, said that, undoubtedly, Syrian nation will pass current hard situation with victory, IRNA reported.
According to the report of Presidential Office website on Tuesday evening, Ahmadinejad, by referring to efforts made to impose crisis on Syria, expressed hope that conspiracies against Syrian great nation can be ended and tranquility and full security established in the country.
He said there is no other way except stopping conflict, national reconciliation and holding election in Syria.
'We pray that chaotic situation, which certain powers have imposed against Syria, will end by Syrian nation solidarity.' the president said.
He called for expansion of ties between Tehran and Damascus in different fields and said that cooperation between the two countries are beneficial for both nations and nations of the region.
Al-Halki, for his part, presented a report on the latest situation in his country and said that enemies of Syrian nation, after their many failures, have aimed economic infra-structures of the country and the hegemonic powers are trying to impose economic pressure on Syrian people.
He said that Iran's achievements in different fields are cause of honor for all independent nations, adding that Syrian people are pleased with success and progress of Iran.
