Five people have been executed in the central jail of the Iranian city of Kerman today, the Iranian news agency MEHR said today.
According to the information, those executed were sentenced to death for using fire arms and drug smuggling.
Some 20 people accused of illegal trafficking and selling drugs were executed in Tehran in Oct.-Nov. 2012.
According to the international media, around 587 people have been executed in Iran over the past year.
