Iran's Conservative Coalition of Five says it is set to announce its final pick for the upcoming presidential elections in the country, ISNA reported.

Election hopeful Mostafa Pourmohammadi said that he and his Coalition of Five colleagues, Manouchehr Mottaki, Mohammad-Hassan Aboutorabi Fard, Mohammad-Reza Bahonar, and Yahya Al-e Es'haq will decide on a single nominee within a few days.

Pourmohammadi went on to note that his Coalition will not join hands with a fellow camp comprising Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf, Ali-Akbar Velayati and Gholam-Ali Haddad Adel.

Pour-Mohammadi has also called on the public to participate fully in the election, adding that this will help to promote the spirit of national unity in the country.

He also promised to publish some information about a case of corruption in near future.

It has been announced that Iran will hold the 11th presidential election on June 14, 2013.

The voters will select the successor of the current President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who is not able to participate in the elections for the third term according to the country's constitutional laws.

The president of Iran is elected for a four-year term in a national election and the Guardian Council vets the candidates for qualifications.
