Tehran doesn't see any obstacles to holding negotiations with the "Six" international mediators (The Russian Federation, The Peoples Republic of China, France, Great Britain, and Germany) on its nuclear program, Iranian ambassador to Russia Mahmoud Reza Saijadi stated on Wednesday, RIA Novosti reported.
"I see no restrictions or impediments to this happening. Let the "Six" propose its terms," the ambassador said responding to questions about the possibility of such a meeting in September.
He also reminded that Tehran proposed to conduct such meeting before the presidential elections, however it did not get the consent of the "Six".
The ambassador also discussed the meeting of the Iranian and Russian presidents.
According to him, Tehran believes that the first meeting between the Russian president Vladimir Putin and the new elected Iranian president Hassan Rouhani will take place in September of this year at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit in Bishkek.
"The first meeting between his Excellency Vladimir Putin and his Excellency Mr. Rouhani, the president of the Iranian Islamic Republic will take place at the summit of Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Bishkek in September, this year," the ambassador told RIA Novosti.
The ambassador stated earlier that, the speaker of State Duma Sergey Naryshkin will represent Russia at Rouhani's inauguration ceremony. He stressed that, Russian president Vladimir Putin's visit is not being discussed.
"Kommersant" newspaper reported last week that Vladimir Putin's visit to Iran is scheduled for August 12-13. Russia's presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov did not confirm this information.
