Iranian deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian has entered Moscow, IRIB news agency reported.

Amir Abdollahian, will meet with Russian deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov.

The two sides will discuss regional issues, Syrian crisis.

According to the report, Syrian FM Walid al-Muallem also has entered Moscow.

Late last month, President Hassan Rouhani and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in their phone talk emphasized that any arbitrary military attack against Syria is a "blatant violation of international law", adding that such a move can only lead to more instability in the Middle East.

Iran is a close ally of the Syrian government and it always shows its support for the regime of Syrian President Bashar al Assad.

Some Western and regional countries supported an intervention in Syria, after another escalation of the situation in the country. On August 21 media outlets reported large scale use of chemical weapons near Damascus by Syrian Government Troops.

After the incident the parties of the conflict repeatedly declared their innocence accusing their opponents.

Earlier, the US president declared that the use of chemical weapon is a "red line" for the Assad regime. Media outlets reported on the preparation of the Navy and Air Force of these countries to begin intervention.
