Two people were killed during a shooting incident in the capital city of Iranian southern Hormozgan Province, IRNA news agency reported.
The incident happened in "Daneshgahe Azad" square of the Bandar Abbas city yesterday, the report said.
According to the report, the shooter, riding a motorcycle, opened fire at a sedan car and killed two people including a woman.
There is no detailed information on the shooter's intentions, however Fars news agency quoted Hormozgan`s Police Chief, Reza Mohammadi Yeganeh as saying that the shooter did not intend to violate security.
Some personal reasons may be behind the incident, he said, adding that police are investigating the issue.
