The employees of Iran's electricity meter manufacturing plant have been working without pay for 2 months and 15 days already, ILNA news agency reported.
The report said 410 employees of the plant have not received any money. The plant manufactures about 8000 electrometers daily.
The official statement from the managers of the plant said the reason for payments delay is due to some financial problems.
Reportedly, the plant is in debt to local insurance companies, which amounts to $48 million. The plant itself was transferred from Iran's energy ministry to the private sector five years ago.
