Arak heavy water reactor will remain intact - AEOI head

Head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization Ali Akbar Salehi said that Arak heavy water reactor will remain as a heavy water reactor and only possibility of some technical changes will be taken into consideration, IRNA reported.

Speaking on the sidelines of a commemoration ceremony for Iran's nuclear martyrs, Salehi said on Friday that the West has brought up the issue of plutonium, which does not have a serious and technical base.

"We can technically do some work to take the pretext from them"

In an interview on Thursday, Salehi had said that Iran can remove some concerns by creating certain changes in Arak heavy water reactor.
