By Milad Fashtami - Trend:
Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif urged the international community to take action in order to halt the deadly Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip.
"The U.S. and other members of the UN Security Council are morally and legally responsible to make Tel Aviv stop its assaults," he said.
"Hamas rocket attacks on Israel are just the retaliatory attacks," he added.
Zarif further said that his country will never condemn people who are trying to defend themselves.
The Iranian official also called on Israel to stop its aggression against Palestinians.
Media reports suggest that around 122 Palestinians have lost their lives in Israel's airstrikes in the Gaza strip since July 8. Most of the victims are women and children.
Over 900 others have also been injured in the attacks
