All the work is being done for the sale of Iranian oil on the energy exchange, said Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Zangeneh, Trend reports via ILNA.
He said that the Iranian Oil Ministry is carrying out its activities at the maximum level.
The minister added that if someone has a better proposal for the sale of oil on the energy exchange, the Oil Ministry is ready to consider it.
“We put up oil for sale at the energy exchange for rials and reduced the size of the oil cargoes,” he said.
On October 28, 2018, for the first time in Iran, 1 million barrels of oil were put up for sale at the energy exchange. Three customers purchased a total of 280,000 barrels of oil for $74.85 per barrel.
On November 11, 2018, 700,000 barrels of oil were put up for sale at the energy exchange and each barrel was sold at $64.97.
On January 21, 2019, 1 million barrels of oil were put up for sale at the energy exchange, but it wasn’t sold due to lack of demand.
