The 5th Petroleum and Energy Club Congress and Exhibition (IPEC 2019) has started at the International Conference Center of IRIB in Tehran on October 8, Trend reports.
The opening ceremony was attended by Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh and CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) Masoud Karbasian. The first session held under the title "Eight million barrels per day of oil production: necessity, dream or reality?" was chaired by Deputy CEO of NIOC Reza Dehghan. The second session entitled "Fiscal regime in the petroleum sector of Iran" was chaired by former CEO of NIOC Ali Kardar.
During the two-day event, the delegates will discuss role of the private sector in oil sector development; new requirements for regional and international gas markets; opportunities, challenges and structural changes in the oil industry; financing development of oil and power sectors; environmental challenges; and start-ups and innovations in the industry.
On the sidelines of the congress, an exhibition is also being held with the participation of oil and power equipment manufacturing companies, which are provided with the opportunity to develop cooperation and economic relations.
