Iran's trade turnover, exports, and imports increase

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 23. Iran's trade turnover amounted to 451 million tons worth more than $301 billion during the 32 months of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi's presidency, the statement of Iran's Customs Administration said, Trend reports.

Iran's exports during the 32 months (from August 2021 through April 2024) amounted to 347 million tons worth about $138 billion. Compared to the same period of the previous government, this figure increased by 17.2 percent in value terms and 1.5 percent in weight terms.

Iran's imports of products amounted to 104 million tons worth $164 billion during the period mentioned. This is 36.3 percent more than in the same period of the previous government and 15.2 percent more by weight.

To note, according to the statistics of Iran's Customs Administration, the country's exports of non-oil products in the last Iranian year amounted to more than 136 million tons worth $49.3 billion. Compared to the previous year, Iran's non-oil exports decreased by 8.87 percent in value terms and increased by 9.82 percent in weight terms.
