BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 1. Iranian oil and gas producing company Karoon has prevented a decrease in crude oil production by 1.12 million barrels, executive director of Iran's Karoon Oil and Gas Production Company Hassan Shahrooei said, Trend reports.

According to him, the storage of the Mansouri desalination center of Karoon Oil and Gas Producing Company has leaked crude oil. This led to a drop in the company's production. The storage and related equipment at the mentioned center were repaired and put into operation within 10 days.

Shahrooei noted that to carry out certain works within 30 days before the repair, it was decided to reduce production to 56,000 barrels per day.

Furthermore, it should be noted that 27 percent of Iran's crude oil production is owned by Karoon Oil and Gas Production Company.

Meanwhile, Karoon Oil and Gas Production Company, operating under the National Company of Southern Oil Zones of Iran, has the potential to produce more than 1 million barrels of oil per day. The main oil fields of this company are the Ahvaz, Mansouri, Ab-Teymour, and Ramin oil fields.
