Iranian president’s ministerial nominees secure parliament's confidence vote

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 21. ​All nominees (19 candidates) proposed by new Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to the ministries have received a vote of confidence from the parliament, Trend reports.

The Iranian parliament voted on August 21 in favor of the candidates proposed by the Iranian president. Following the results of the vote, the ministers elected were:

Abbas Araghchi - Foreign Minister

Salehi-Amiri, Reza - Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicraft Industries

Zafarghandi, Mohammad-Reza - Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education

Eskandar Momeni - Minister of the Interior

Abdolnaser Hemmati - Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance

Ahmad Meydari - Minister of Cooperatives, Labour, and Social Welfare

Alireza Kazemi - Minister of Education

Sattar Hashemi - Minister of Communications and Information Technology

Esmail Khatib - Minister of Intelligence (Security)

Gholamreza Nouri-Ghezeljeh - Minister of Agriculture

Amin-Hossein Rahimi -Minister of Justice

Aziz Nasirzadeh - Minister of Defense
