BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 9. A strategic partnership document between Iran and Russia is approaching its final stages, the spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), Nasser Kanaani, stated during a press conference in Tehran, Trend reports.
According to Kanaani, given the current state of affairs on a global and regional scale, the two sides have made it a priority to complete this treaty in order to strengthen relationships between Russia and Iran.
He added that the agreement will soon be sealed by the presidents of both countries. Once the ink is dry, it will be given the green light and put into action by the Iranian parliament.
The spokesperson emphasized that the document is expected to pave the way for strengthening bilateral relations across the board, including trade, by laying a rock-solid legal foundation.
