BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 18. Iran is seriously following and will continue to monitor the cooperation in the direction of raising the level of relations with Russia, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said at a meeting with Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu in Tehran on September 17, Trend reports.
According to him, strengthening cooperation and relations between Iran and Russia can lead to a reduction in the impact of steps and sanctions imposed against the two countries. Relations between Tehran and Moscow will develop continuously, uninterruptedly, and eternally.
Pezeshkian stated that the meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the margins of the BRICS heads of state summit in Kazan will be productive.
Furthermore, Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu declared at the meeting that Russia's position on cooperation with Iran on regional issues has not changed.
