Senegalese president says he will raise Iran-US relations

(IRNA) - Visiting Senegalese President Abdoulaye Wade said on Monday that he will raise Iran-US relations with Iranian officials during his stay in Tehran.

He told reporters after he was accorded formal welcome at the compound of Presidential Office, "I will exchange views with Iranian officials on a variety of issues including Iran-US relations." He also said that he will discuss issues about the upcoming Summit of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) and a conference on 'religions' scheduled to be held in Senegal, reports Trend.

Malaysia holds current presidency of OIC for four years since 2003. Senegal will take over OIC presidency from Malaysia in the year 2007.
