(IRNA) - Omani Foreign Minister Yusuf bin Alawi said on Wednesday that international community differentiates between Iran's nuclear programs and those of North Korea, reports Trend.

Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) quoted bin Alawi as saying that Iran in its nuclear programs has made international commitments, while North Korea has not only left the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) but has also vowed to continue its military nuclear activities.

The Omani foreign minister clarified that the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) member states all want Iranian nuclear dossier to be solved by diplomatic means.

He noted that as the Persian Gulf region is a prominent position all regional countries have to do their best to prevent tension and conflict in the area.

Pointing to tense security situation in Iraq, bin Alawi predicted an improvement in the country's security situation in the future.
