(IRNA) - Expediency Council Chairman said here Monday that the Iranian nation should not let the enemies dream of sowing discord in the country through close cooperation, national integrity and empathy.
He made the remark in a meeting with members of the central council of Teachers Islamic Association, where he briefly analyzed the current situation of the domestic and foreign scene, reports Trend.
Rafsanjani said that crises and difficulties can only be eliminated through unity and national concord.
Turning to the significance of promotion of cultural issues in the Iranian community, the official said, "The numerous questions raised by the new generation about domestic and international developments should be responded by proper reasoning."
Underlining the importance of the upcoming Experts Assembly and Islamic councils elections, he said that grounds should be prepared for public participation in the upcoming elections.
Secretary General of Teachers Islamic Association, Abolqasem Raoufiyan presented a report on the past and future plans of the association.
