Saudi consultative council chairman due in Iran Saturday

(IRNA) - The chairman of Saudi Arabia's Majlis Ash-Shoura (consultative council) Saleh bin Abdullah bin Homaed is expected in Iran Saturday for an official visit.

Bin Homaed, who will head a parliamentary delegation, will visit Iran to take part in the 7th session of the Inter-Parliamentary Union of Asia's General Council on the subject of peace, reports Trend.

The session is held every two years in an Asian state. Its previous session was held in Thailand.

Saudi Arabia's consultative council was established in 1993. It currently has 150 members who are all appointed by the Saudi king.
