(www.irna.ir) вЂ" A parliamentary deputy here Monday said that talks with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) would be the best medium for resolving the Iran nuclear issue.
Hamid Reza Haji-Babaie, an MP representing the western province of Hamedan and a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Majlis, told IRNA that Tehran considers negotiations with the IAEA as the logical means to resolve the nuclear issue, reports Trend.
He said the anti-Iran resolution passed by the UN Security Council in December last year was "politically motivated" and in no way acceptable.
The Iranian nation is determined to access peaceful nuclear technology and will not be intimidated by the enemies to abandon its nuclear program, the MP stressed.
On the prospect of holding direct Iran-US talks, he said if Washington wants to hold negotiations with the Islamic Republic of Iran it should submit a written proposal for Iranian authorities to consider.
