( IRNA )- Former Iranian president Mohammad Khatami will arrive in Italy on May 3 to attend a conference titled "Peace from the Perspective of Islam and Christianity".
Informed sources in Vatican said that head of the International Center of Dialogue among Cultures and Civilizations is to visit Italy at the head of a religious and cultural delegation upon an invitation by the Gregorian University.
Khatami is scheduled to meet with Pope Benedict XVI and Vatican Prime Minister Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone.
He is also to take part in religious and cultural meetings to be held in the cities of Palermo, Milan and Forli.
