( Reuters ) - Nineteen people were killed and 18 injured when a truck collided with a passenger bus in central Iran on Friday, Iran's ISNA news agency said.
The crash occurred on a road that links the northeastern province of Semnan to Isfahan, in the centre of the country.
Statistics have shown that one person dies every 20 minutes on Iran's dangerous roads and Iran has one of the highest road accident rates in the world. The frequent crashes are blamed on poor police supervision, poor quality roads and reckless driving.
