( Irna ) - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and is Venezuelan counterpart Hugo Chavez in a telephone contact on Thursday evening discussed the latest developments in international affairs and bilateral relations.
Ahmadinejad underlined the need for continued cooperation between Tehran and Caracas both in two-way relations and international affairs.
The Iranian president praised the efforts made by the Caracas government to develop Venezuela and wished prosperity for the Venezuelan nation.
Hugo Chavez, for his part, hoped to witness further success and progress of the Iranian nation and government.
Underscoring the necessity of developing bilateral ties, President Chavez said his country would attend the Non-Alignment Movement meeting in Tehran.
