German specialists to consult Iran Khodro company

A German delegation consisting of top auto industry experts are currently in Iran, and are supposed to consult Iran Khodro Company's representatives, Hasehm Yekke Zare, the managing director of IKCO, said, Iran's ISNA News Agency reported on October 21.

The delegation will also observe the work of Iran Khodro, and are reportedly scheduled to give consultations in 10 days.

Hasehm Yekke Zare said the German experts have agreed to consult their Iranian counterparts for the next four years.

IKCO plans to export 25,000 cars by the end of the current Iranian calendar year (March 20).

Ali Elmi, deputy director of IKCO, said on June 2 that all the models of the company will be exported,. He also said that IKCO plans to continue manufacturing cars in Iraq and Syria.

Some 521,585 cars have been produced in Iran in the first half of the current calendar year (March 21 - September 22) - a 74.3 percent increase compared to the same period of time previous year.

Sedan cars output stood at 442,472 in the mentioned period, some 74 percent more than previous year. Iran also produced 70,889 pickup trucks, 8,000 trucks, 193 buses, and 30 minibuses in the mentioned period.
