The Iranian Aerospace Research Center is making a 6-seet air taxi which is intended to accommodate short trips inside the country.
The research center's director Fathollah Ommi said the aircraft will be ready in less than two years, IRNA news agency reported June 29.
He said the center is currently working on the design of the small airplane.
He hoped that by using the air taxi, land traffic will lower.
Using the air taxi will provide more speed and lower road accident rates, Ommi said.
