Iran imports over 2,600 tons of oil products through Caspian Sea

Iran has imported 2,613 tons of oil products through Anzali Port in the northern country in a period of one month between 20 March and 20 April.

According to the country's Ports and Maritime Organization, the figure has dropped by 42 percent year-on-year. During the same period in 2015 Iran imported 4,510 tons of oil products through Anzali Port on the Caspian Sea. Meanwhile the country imported 236,117 tons of non-oil products through Anzali Port.

The total amount of oil products loaded and unloaded at the entire Iranian ports in the mentioned period has increased by 26 percent year-on-year.

Over the past month, 13.345 million tons of oil products were loaded and unloaded at ports across the country.

The consumption of gas and oil products in Iran was 4.428 million barrels (per day) of oil equivalent between March 2014 and 2015. The figure increased by 197,000 barrel of oil equivalent (per day) year on year.
