The National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) is planning to hold a tender, which is believed to be the Islamic Republic's first oil tender since the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was implemented on January 16.

The tender, aimed at increasing the oil output in the Persian Gulf by 10,000 barrels per day, envisages drilling 12 wells at the Siri oil field in southern Iran, the Mehr news agency reported June 1.

The works will require an investment of 170 million euros during a period of three years.

According to the report, the Iranian Offshore Oil Company is in charge of preparing the documents for the tender.
