Iran’s Kavian Petrochemical Co launches its second phase

Iran’s Kavian Petrochemical Corporation has launched its second phase increasing the company’s capacity for producing ethylene by one million tons per year.

The company’s CEO Ramezan Oladi said that in the meantime the company has started injecting its ethylene into the pipeline grid named the West Ethylene Pipeline, IRNA news agency reported July 12.

The pipeline is a main artery feeding petrochemical plants located in the western provinces, especially Ilam, Lorestan, Mahabad and Kordestan petrochemical complexes.

According to its website, Kavian Petrochemical Co, which is a subsidiary of Bakhtar Petrochemical Company (BPC), is responsible to supply the required feedstock into the Western Ethylene Pipeline for other projects established under Bakhtar Petrochemical Co.
